Nevada, Iowa, Partners with Iowa Interactive to Provide Payment Processing Services

Date: Monday, May 16, 2016
NEVADA, Iowa--Residents of Nevada, Iowa, can now make utility payments by credit card, debit card, or eCheck online and over-the-counter through a new payment processing service called PayPort. The PayPort payment processing system is available online at www.cityofnevadaiowa.org.

“PayPort is a huge improvement over our old system,” said Kerin Wright, Nevada City Clerk. “Accounts are now authorized immediately, and we spend less time tracking insufficient payments.”

The city of Nevada partnered with Iowa Interactive, LLC of Des Moines, to offer the new service at no cost to taxpayers. Citizens who transact with the city using the system pay a small convenience fee to use the service. The Web-based system enables citizens to make payments to City Hall and includes an administrative module to manage the system and generate real-time reports.
